Dr. Phil's Fab (and 50) Find
 To celebrate the launch of her book, Inside My Heart: Choosing to Live Life with Passion and Purpose, Robin McGraw, wife of Dr. Phil McGraw, decided to conduct a nationwide search for women who are "Fabulous and 50."
Dr. Phil and Robin asked viewers to send a videotape explaining why they are fabulous in their 50's. Women from all over the nation spoke of beauty, courage, strength and motherhood. Although all of the women were fabulous in their own right, after viewing thousands of tapes there was a clear winner: Lee Ann Elvig. A two-time cancer survivor, Registered Nurse and active volunteer working with cancer patients, Lee Ann is living proof that benevolence is beautiful and philanthropy is fabulous.
In addition to being the "Fabulous and 50" winner, Lee Ann has also been named Bliss' Ambassador to Youth, as she exemplifies that youth is not an age, but a way of life. Her duties will include sharing her life experiences through a Bliss blog and in the Bliss catalog, as well as testing Bliss' soon-to-be-available super salve, the youth as we know it.
Lee Ann Elvig
As a mother, attorney, psychotherapist, Registered Nurse and two-time cancer survivor, Lee Ann Elvig is the model of a modern woman, balancing her life with a successful career, positive outlook and great courage.
Her experiences led her to CanCare of Houston, Inc., an interfaith cancer support network that offers free, one-on-one, long-term emotional support to cancer patients and their families. As an active CanCare volunteer since 1996, Elvig has supported over many young women dealing with breast cancer.
Elvig currently works at the Menniger Clinic in Houston, Texas as a Registered Nurse. Previously held positions include working as a Registered Nurse at the Spring Branch Independent School District and as an Attorney in a private practice. In addition to other civic associations and honors, Elvig was named a "Hero of Hope" in CanCare's annual report.
She currently resides in Houston, Texas with her husband and three children. As a supporter of CanCare, Bliss is honored to have Lee Ann Elvig as the face of the youth as we know it.
